Vision Dice Tower Update #5: Progress, Timing, and What’s Next

Originally published on Kickstarter on April 7, 2026.

It’s been a bit since our last update, and I want to start by saying thank you for your patience. We’re still moving forward steadily, even if we haven’t communicated as frequently as we should have.

The good news: late pledges are still open on Kickstarter, and we’re continuing to build toward the next major milestones.

Where things stand

Manufacturing: Temporary slowdown

Our manufacturer has had some construction work going on, which has limited how much we’ve been able to push forward on that front for the moment. We expect things to open back up soon, and we’re timing our next steps so we can move quickly once that construction wraps up.

Exterior design cleanup

While manufacturing has been temporarily slowed, we’ve been putting time to good use. We’ve been working with a designer to clean up and refine the outside design of the tower. That design pass should be completed this month, which lines up well with when the manufacturer construction should be finished.

This puts us in a strong position to move straight into printing and testing.

Commercial update

We’ve also been finalizing our commercial. We ended up needing to reshoot everything, but it’s now in final edits.

Once it’s ready, we’ll share it. We’re excited about how it’s coming together, and we think it will do a much better job showing the Vision Dice Tower clearly and professionally.

App and software accuracy

Now that the campaign is over and we have some of these moving pieces in motion, we’re able to shift more focus back to what matters most for long-term success:

  • Improving the app experience.
  • Improving the speed and accuracy of the dice-reading software.

This is a major priority for us over the coming weeks.

Next step: Print and beta testing

Once the exterior design cleanup is complete, we plan to print a few towers and move into a new round of beta testing.

That phase will help us validate:

  • Reliability and accuracy.
  • User experience and setup flow.
  • What needs refinement before we scale production.

Expanded color options

With our new manufacturer, our color options for printing are expanding, which opens up more possibilities than we originally had.

The Make 100 towers are still planned as gold, and we’re committed to keeping that run special and distinct.

We want your feedback

If you’re a backer or late pledger and you’re excited to get a tower, we want to hear from you. What matters most: roll-reading speed, accuracy across different dice, app features, VTT priorities, or preferred colors and finishes?

Thank you again for backing us and helping make the Vision Dice Tower real. We’ll keep you updated as we hit these next milestones.
