The World of Verivar

Verivar is a shattered refuge world, a land born from desperation and divinely-forged escape. The mortal races—humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes, orcs, and dragonborn—fled to Verivar through the Titan's Gate, crafted by twin god-beings Navrene and Novrene, in a last stand against the hellish dominion of Vertolg the Immolator. The mortal realm they left behind was lost, scorched by demonic fire and twisted magic. What remains in Verivar is a fractured but vibrant world where divine legacy, magical systems, and ancient memory shape the lives of countless civilizations.

Magic in Verivar is physically etched into the world and its people through Edis Ink, a sacred, glowing material granted by the goddess Edis. All arcane casters must bear Marks of Edis—ritual tattoos that grow with their power and destiny. The greater the power, the more expansive the ink.
