Faolan Radiantbeard

Faolan Radiantbeard was born in the deep halls of an ancient dwarven mountain-citadel, where Clan Radiantbeard had forged its legacy for generations.

From his earliest years, Faolan was inseparable from his cousin Thurgren Frostbeard. The two trained together, competed constantly, and dreamed of one day standing shield-to-shield against the darkness.

That dream ended when Thurgren was killed during an early adventure while helping a companion on a retrieval quest. His death devastated Faolan and changed the course of his life.

For the next twelve years, Faolan trained beneath the mountain. He mastered the greatsword under Master Thrain Ironfist, learning devastating sweeping attacks, and trained with the longsword for the tighter fighting required in tunnels and close quarters.

When Faolan finally emerged from the dwarven halls, he was searching for something deeper than revenge. He wanted justice—not only for Thurgren, but for adventurers and ordinary people who suffered because others abused power.

As stories spread of the newly ascended gods, Faolan traveled across Verivar seeking answers. After years of reflection, prayer, and devotion, he swore himself to Goterak, the new God of Justice and Revenge.

Faolan now walks the surface world as a paladin of justice. His greatsword, Dawncleaver, and his longsword, Truth’s Edge, serve as reminders of the oath he has chosen to live by.

He remains relentlessly watchful for the corrupt, the tyrannical, and anyone who twists power to escape justice. Beneath that resolve, however, Faolan still carries one deeply personal hope: that somewhere in the changing world, he may find a way to be reunited with Thurgren.
