Thurgren Frostbeard

Thurgren Frostbeard carries himself with the quiet strength of a dwarf who has already faced death and been given another purpose.

A warrior and cleric, Thurgren once adventured alongside those who would eventually become some of Verivar’s new gods. During those early travels, he was killed while helping a companion on a dangerous retrieval quest. His body was later cremated, and for decades his story seemed to have ended there.

But thirty years after the Ascension, Neni brought Thurgren back.

Now restored to life, Thurgren serves the goddess as one of her chosen champions. His faith is not abstract. He knew Neni before her Ascension and carries memories of a world in which the gods now worshipped across Verivar were once mortal companions facing the same dangers as everyone else.

Thurgren wears chain mail marked by years of use and carries a battered warhammer and shield. At the center of his tabard rests the holy symbol of Neni: a closed eye with a glowing rune burning within it. In moments of divine focus, the symbol seems almost to awaken.

He is deliberate in everything he does. Thurgren listens more than he speaks, moves without hurry, and rarely wastes words. His stillness can make him seem almost immovable—right up until he raises his hammer.

Given a second life and a new calling, Thurgren now walks Verivar as a cleric of Neni, carrying both the weight of the world that was and the responsibility of the world that followed.
